I just bought this course! Was shaving along towards a dowel earlier today. Very excited.

Slöjd is beautiful. Have you heard of Wille and Jogge Sundqvist yet?

I see a Strongway axe there; I've looked at their website and salivated at their prices, but haven't known whether to trust them. How've you liked the tools you've gotten from them?

I love the idea of the Slojd movement. As I believe that people enhance their minds, bodies and lives when they work with their hands. I also love passing on those skills to my three sons.

I haven't heard of Wille and Jogge Sundqvist but I will do some reading on them. I noticed they have some books translated and published by LAP.

I love the axe, but as it is the first high quality axe I have owned I have nothing to compare it to other than a cheep hatchet from the big box store. It is much nicer than those!

Enjoy the course

Jogge’s book “Slöjd in Wood” is phenomenal, and I’ve had my eye on Wille’s book “Swedish Carving Techniques” for a while.

And the passing on of skills is maybe the most joyful part. :)

Enjoy your shavings.
